EXHIBITIONS
The Icons and Insights programme tells the stories behind some of our internationally acclaimed performers, whilst also exploring the rich history of some lesser-known aspects of the performing arts.
Arts Centre Melbourne is home to two significant cultural collections.
You can discover both the Performing Arts Collection and the Art Collection every time you visit Arts Centre Melbourne where elements of both are always on display in the foyers and exhibition spaces.
PERFORMING ARTS COLLECTION
The Performing Arts Collection is the nation's premier collection relating to the history of circus, dance, music, theatre and opera, and is home to over 450,000 items including costumes, archives, designs and photographs.
ART COLLECTION
Explore over 800 works from the Foundation and Contemporary Collections, including sculptures, works on paper, textiles and paintings.

ACCESS
Researchers can visit the new Performing Arts Collection Research Centre by prior appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:30 and 4:30. Contact the Access co-ordinator to arrange your visit.
