Our 2013 Families & Youth program is our largest and most exciting yet, offering something for all ages - tiny tots, kids and teenagers - plus things the whole family can enjoy together.
This winter and spring sees literature come alive on stage, with some spectacular puppetry and music in the most unexpected of places mixed in. And that's not all. Through one of our creative workshops, we're giving you the chance to foster your own inner artist.

Imagine ... pianos popping up in the most unexpected places around Melbourne. Their only request to passers-by: “Play Me, I'm Yours”. These particular pianos have been beautifully decorated by community artists from all over Melbourne and will be out on the streets for YOU to play. So, pull up a stool and enjoy!

Dig DeepArts Centre Melbourne’s flagship hip-hop and urban music mentoring program Dig Deep supports the development of young people aged 14 to 22 on Tuesday evenings in the Digital Learning Hub. A diverse range of young artists work with a team of established hip-hop practitioners to create and present new work, develop peer mentorship skills and collaborate with young artists from other creative disciplines.
Arts Centre Melbourne Families and Youth program is designed to be a shared experience between children and their families. Therefore all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Arts Centre Melbourne Families and Youth performances are designated children's performances, where indicated by the 'designated children's performance' logo. Children aged under 24 months are admitted free of charge without a pram and must sit on their carer's lap unless otherwise stated in the case of events designed for children under one year.
Arts Centre Melbourne is located at 100 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
By train: Arts Centre Melbourne is a five minute walk from Flinders Street station.
By tram: Stop 14. All tram lines that travel up or down St Kilda Road and Swanston Street stop outside Arts Centre Melbourne.
By car: Entry to Arts Centre Melbourne car park is located on the corner of Sturt & Kavanagh Streets, Southbank, and is easily accessed from St Kilda Road, Southbank Boulevard, Alexandra Avenue and City Road. For parking rates click here.

Baby Change & Pram Parking
Toilets are on each floor of Arts Centre Melbourne. Baby change facilities are available on Levels 3, 5 and 6 (Level 6 is St Kilda Road street level). There are designated spaces for pram parking at Arts Centre Melbourne Kids and Families events.
The venue is accessible by wheelchair and spaces are available at all events.
