First Call Fund
The performing arts ignite children's creativity and
imaginations.
Unfortunately, whether by distance, disadvantage or other
circumstances, not everyone is lucky enough to have easy access to
the performing arts.
But you can change that.
The First Call Fund exists so that disadvantaged or regional
children, or those facing other barriers, can engage with the
performing arts firsthand. Donations to the Fund go directly to the
schools and families that need it most, to help subsidise the cost
of participating in one of Arts Centre's Melbourne's amazing
programs for schools, youth and families.
It's a valuable experience for students, their parents and their
teachers that extends well beyond the performance to enrich their
lives. Research shows that participating in high quality performing
arts experiences can have significant benefits for young people,
influencing the way they think, learn, interact with each other and
understand the world.
