Australia’s acclaimed Grand Master of the Japanese bamboo flute opens this new season at The Famous Spiegeltent. Playing the shakuhachi is not just a musical undertaking – it’s a lifetime of meditation and storytelling and challenges and imagination. With long-time musical partner Marshall McGuire, performing music from ancient times and music specially composed for them both, Riley tells us his story, in music of the utmost beauty and serenity.
