Arts Centre Melbourne presents

Designing the Ecological Performance Space

Enjoy Thursday lunch with fresh, new and exciting performances as part of Riverside Live in and around Hamer Hall.

Strung together is an immersive installation that explores the complex web of environmental and social surroundings. Using just one material to create a series of unique performance events – from interactive installations to yarn bombing, costuming and clothing – Strung together is an “eco-scenographic” investigation into environmentally progressive performance spaces. Taking a holistic approach to materials and resources, this unique and radical approach asks the question, ‘can we create designs that enrich our environment and community, as well as our audience?’

Join Tanja Beer, Ryan Foote, Jennifer Tran and Sabrina D' Angelo in transforming the Hamer Hall foyer into an interactive, eco-scenographic performance space. Be part of our conversation about how the Performing Arts can take an active role in demonstrating the possibilities of ecological practice, and witness the unfolding of a new paradigm for theatre making.
