US comedy’s preeminent storyteller Mike Birbiglia brings his painfully honest and hilarious one-man show to Melbourne for a limited season.
A regular on This American Life and creator of the award-winning film Sleepwalk with Me, Mike shares a lifetime of romantic blunders and miscues that most adults would spend a lifetime trying to forget, and struggles to find reason in an area where it may be impossible – love.
Mike is a comedian, writer and actor best known for his award-winning off-Broadway hits Sleepwalk with Me, and My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend which won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Performance; it was also nominated for a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award.
Sleepwalk With Me started as a one-man show, before being adapted into a book, and then a movie, winning the 2012 Sundance Audience Award. Next up: an action figure, amusement park ride, and video game.
