Arts Centre Melbourne (ACM) presents world-class performing arts and is the Melbourne home of Australia’s leading arts companies. In 2014 it engaged with three million visitors across three sites and five stages, and generated revenue of $73 million. A new role of Chief Financial Officer has been created following a reshaping of the leadership structure, presenting a unique opportunity for arts leadership in Australia.


About the position
The CFO will be a strategic member of the leadership team reporting to the COO. The appointee will lead a high performing committed team of professionals to deliver finance transformation that will support and enable ACM to achieve its strategic objectives. As a trusted advisor and business partner, the appointee will provide direction, insight and analysis for business sustainability and growth, including the next stage of redevelopment. The role will provide oversight and direction for all finance activities across the organisation.

Possessing a relevant tertiary degree and a member of CA/CPA, ideally you will be experienced in both commercial and government environments. Your style will be engaging, dynamic and you will relish working in a complex and changing environment. This role calls for strong judgement, negotiation and commercial skills, ideally combined with a deep passion for the arts.
