We present programs and performances that are Relaxed, Auslan Interpreted, Audio Described, Open Captioned, Tactile Tours, Highly Visual and Wheelchair accessible. An Assistive Hearing system is available in our venues and Companion Card holders are eligible for a complimentary companion ticket.

All Arts Centre Melbourne venues contain accessible seating for those with access requirements and their companions. This seating can be booked, subject to availability

• in person at our box office - open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 8pm and on Sundays from 10am until 5pm*

Steps: For those with limited mobility we recommend contacting our team for assistance to discuss the number of stairs required to navigate from the foyers, the entry doors and when inside the auditorium to your seat. This information varies for each of our venues. Please call us on 1300 182 183 our team are happy to assist with your booking and make recommendations to best meet your needs.

Wheelchair seats/spaces are available at all events, including many events at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, subject to availability. These seats/spaces can be booked online or by contacting our call centre on 1300 182 183.

Complementary wheelchairs can also be booked to assist with travel throughout the Theatres building and Hamer Hall. These wheelchairs cannot be taken offsite. Please call our contact centre on 1300 182 183 for assistance with reserving a wheelchair for your visit.

Both levels of the Arts Centre Melbourne Car Park are fully wheelchair accessible, and have accessible parking bays.

If you have difficulty with stairs please discuss your potential seating location with our staff prior to booking. Many doors into the venues, and positions within the venues themselves, cannot be reached without encountering stairs, and some locations involve several full flights of stairs. Please contact us on 1300 182 183, Monday to Saturday from 9am until 8pm, to discuss your requirements and what is available.

Companion Card holders are eligible to reserve a complimentary ticket to Arts Centre Melbourne programs and performances, for use by their companion. This companion must be able to assist the Companion Card holder with their access requirements.

Our theatres are accessible via lifts in both the Theatres Building and Hamer Hall, and during show times we have an usher available to assist anyone with access needs to their door. Both buildings also have multiple accessible toilet facilities. Assistance animals are welcome in all our theatres.

Assisted-listening devices for use in all seats of Arts Centre Melbourne venues (plus on Guided Tours and for meetings) are available free of charge. These devices use standard headphones or connect with hearing aids via a neck loop. Please speak to our staff when you arrive for assistance with obtaining these devices.

Wheelchairs can be booked for use in our buildings through the Welcome Desk on (03) 9281 8298.

Assistance animals are permitted into all areas of Arts Centre Melbourne. Water bowls are available on request.

The Theatres Building (the building with the big spire) has accessible toilets on Level 3, 5, 6 (street level) and 8.

Hamer Hall has accessible toilets on all publicly-accessible levels, and changing facilities on Levels 2, 3, 5, 6 (street level) and 7.

Please ask venue staff for assistance in locating the closest accessible toilet to your location.

You can park in the Arts Centre Melbourne car park. Entry into Arts Centre Melbourne’s car park is via the corner of Sturt and Kavanagh Streets.

Both levels of the Arts Centre Melbourne car park are fully wheelchair accessible, and have clearly marked accessible parking bays available offering clear access to our theatres. Please display your valid Parking Permit for people with disability; standard rates apply. Although Arts Centre Melbourne car park has plenty of accessible spaces, it's still best to arrive early when possible.

Discounts for the Valet Parking service are available for Disability Parking Permit holders.

The Arts Centre Melbourne car park has a height restriction of 1.9m. For vehicles above this height restriction, accessible parking spaces are available nearby – please see City of Melbourne Accessible Amenities for more details.

Arts Centre Melbourne is located at 100 St Kilda Road, in between the National Gallery of Victoria and the Yarra River, and is only a few minutes walk from Federation Square and Flinders Street Station.

Train – A short walk across Princes Bridge from Flinders Street Station.
Tram – Take any tram along St Kilda Road and get off at Arts Centre Melbourne (Stop 14).

There is bus parking available in St Kilda Road opposite Arts Centre Melbourne. If you would like to reserve bus parking please visit the Melbourne Council Parking Permit site.

There are also limited accessible parking spaces out the front of Arts Centre Melbourne.

Food may be eaten in the foyers, on the lawn area between the Theatres Building and Hamer Hall or in the Queen Victoria Gardens opposite Arts Centre Melbourne.
