Your lockdown plans just got a bit more adventurous. Melbourne cabaret queen Ali McGregor is back to host a hilarious online variety show, with a bit of a twist.

In this episode, Thando reminds us why she is Australia's foremost soul singer-songwriter as she performs two original songs; Cal Wilson introduces us to her comedic character 'Adele', coming live from the crawl space in her cousin's attic; Lily Paskas presents a Girl Guides lesson in magic; comedian and killer vocalist Michelle Braiser treats us to some songs about the summer of youth, and also shows us how to bathe in a bucket; and Germany's favourite punk popstar Otto (of Die Roten Punkte) is missing his band-mate Astrid. But Astrid is just missing...

Much like the Choose Your Own Adventure books of the ’80s, audiences will have the power to choose which act to watch next and access some hidden content. A top hat icon will appear at various points in the interactive experience, and when clicked on you will be able to view bonus songs, encore performances, stories and random musings.

This episode is available to stream on demand for two weeks. So whether you’re wearing trackies or sequins, you’ll love what Ali has in store for you.

Presented by Arts Centre Melbourne in association with Ali McGregor & Working Management.

“Slick, stylish show delivers the best of Melbourne and a dash of magic.”
