Your lockdown plans just got a bit more adventurous. Melbourne cabaret queen Ali McGregor is back to host a hilarious online variety show, with a little bit of a twist. Much like the Choose Your Own Adventure books of the 80s you get to choose which act to watch next, along with some extra songs and hidden tid-bits!
In this special school holiday edition for families, Ali McGregor will be joined by some of Melbourne's favourite performers. Frank Woodley delights us with his glorious lunacy and magical stories; comedy duo The Listies bring their usual silly mayhem; Dandyman clowns around with straws; Dane Simpson weaves tales about animals with his didgeridoo and Clara Cupcakes gets disgusted by balloon animals. Plus, Ali will sings songs from her backyard and there will be something extra special from a handful of talented kids around Victoria.
We’re also thrilled to have a couple of up-and-coming comedians/high school students joining us. Ethan Gallagher and Patti Fawcett are two incredibly talented young performers who were handpicked to be a part of Arts Centre Melbourne and Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s LOL Squad mentorship program.
This episode is available to stream on demand for two weeks.
Presented by Arts Centre Melbourne in association with Ali McGregor & Working Management.
