Are you an aspiring rapper, singer, beatmaker, poet or musician? Hit us up through our flagship hip hop and urban-music mentoring program, Dig Deep – an inclusive, dynamic space for young aspiring creatives.
Dig Deep, Arts Centre Melbourne’s flagship youth music program, returns to The Channel.
Now in its 11th year, our team of young leaders and facilitators have spent the past few months re-designing the program, and we’re excited to relaunch fortnightly drop-in hip hop workshops for aspiring artists aged 14 - 24.
Dig Deep will once again be led by renowned hip hop artists Mantra and Mohamed Komba (aka MoMO of Diafrix), and we’re thrilled to announce Thando, Australia’s new first lady of R&B, will be joining our team of workshop facilitators.
Dig Deep is an inclusive, dynamic space for young rappers, singers, beat-makers, poets and musicians. Aspiring artists from all backgrounds have the opportunity to hone their skills and learn from a team of established hip hop practitioners and to collaborate with other like-minded young people. They’ll gain access to industry standard equipment and facilities to write, record and produce their own tracks and can take advantage of the performance opportunities Arts Centre Melbourne can provide.
