A transgender diverse training session provided by Transgender Victoria.

The session will begin with a brief introduction to LGBTIQA+ before moving into the main focus of trans and gender diverse issues, including how to be more inclusive. The trainer, Archie (pronouns: they, them) is non-binary and has extensive experience in arts and training.

Over the course of this three-hour session, you will be introduced to gender diversity and gain a deeper understanding of the differences between sexual orientation, intersex status, gender identity and expression. You will learn about key areas of disadvantage and discrimination for trans and gender diverse people, as well as related mental health impacts. Legislative obligations, tips and suggestions on working with trans and gender diverse people will also be included in this session.

Archie Boulter
Archie (pronouns: they/them) is a 26-year-old, non-binary, queer person. When they're not providing training through Transgender Victoria, Archie leads Queer Town, a business they founded in 2018 in the form of an online hub of original digital media, designed by queer people for a queer audience. In addition to this, Archie works as an event producer at Museums Victoria, where they lead the establishment of Museum Victoria's first LGBTIQA+ Advisory Group, which incorporates Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and the Immigration Museum. Archie has years of experience facilitating workshops throughout Australia, in both metro and regional areas and is working towards a society in which diversity is celebrated.
