Arts Centre Melbourne have now partnered with this project to bring our audiences a very special, uplifting program of classical music. Live streaming concerts from the iconic Hamer Hall over two evenings.

Ensemble Liaison, Melbourne Ensemble with Dale Barltrop, Wilma and Friends, plus Sophie Rowell and Kristian Chong will showcase the very best of chamber music in Melbourne.

With all box office proceeds going to the performers, this is a festival not to be missed.

Ensemble Liaison – The Four Seasons
Streams Wednesday 25 November, 7pm

Ensemble Liaison is delighted to return to MDCH to present a concert inspired by the sight and sounds of South America. This concert will feature the premiere of new work by award winning pianist and composer John Novacek inspired by Columbian clarinetist Lucho Bermúdez.

Melbourne Ensemble & Dale Barltrop – Schubert’s Octet
Streams Wednesday 25 November, 8.30pm

The Melbourne Ensemble are joined by Dale Barltrop for Schubert’s Octet, the piece that was the next obvious development for Schubert after hearing and being greatly inspired by Beethoven’s heralded Septet in E flat Op. 20. This combination of players, (and more importantly great friends), is bound to be a real firecracker of a performance!

3 X 3: Mozart, Myths And Mantras
Streams Thursday 26 November, 7pm

Co-concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Sophie Rowell and renowned pianist Kristian Chong unite for an uplifting, poignant and dramatic program featuring three great composers. An exciting, breathtaking and electrifying program from these two distinguished Australian musicians.

Wilma & Friends – Beethoven’s Piano
Streams Thursday 26 November, 8.30pm

Beethoven’s premiere of his extraordinary 4th Piano Concerto in 1808 was to be his last performance as soloist with orchestra. This anonymous arrangement, popular in Vienna during his lifetime, enables us to present an iconic work without full orchestra. Our overture is his inventive and effervescent Opus 11 Piano Trio.
