Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra unveil their 2019 National Concert Season.
Moving seamlessly through experimental collaborations, celebrated classics and music by some of the most revered and innovative composers of today, ACO 2019 is a multi-sensory journey that pushes the very concept of a ‘chamber orchestra’ to new heights.
2019 sees the long-awaited return of Luminous, the ACO’s ground-breaking collaboration with artist Bill Henson. International guests such as the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, saxophonist Branford Marsalis and violinist Lorrenza Borrani share the stage with soloists from the ACO’s own ranks.
Richard Tognetti and the Orchestra pay tribute to the genius of Bach and Mozart, while shining light on the music of Sally Beamish, Sufjan Stevens and Jonny Greenwood.
The Season closes with a bang, with Dvorak’s Eighth Symphony and Brahms’s Double Concerto performed by Richard Tognetti and Timo-Veikko Valve.
