Remixing tracks is an art-form in itself - give your students an insight into contemporary electronic music production with this hands-on experience.

In this practical music workshop, students will create their own versions of a popular dance track by an Australian artist using music production software Ableton Live. This workshop caters to all skill levels – no prior experience required.

The Australian Music Vault is a new exhibition at Arts Centre Melbourne that will celebrate the past, present and future of Australian contemporary music. Delving into the extensive Australian Performing Arts Collection, objects will be on display for schools and the general public that will inspire and engage, telling the stories of the Australian music industry and its fans.

Students are encouraged to explore the Australian Music Vault before coming to this workshop. You can download a teacher’s guide to the Vault here.
