Remixing tracks is an art-form in itself. During this workshop students will create their own remixed version of a popular dance track by an Australian artist using music production software Ableton Live.
Students will experiment with samples and arrangement, learn how to trigger samples with external hardware, record and arrange samples, and mix audio. Their work will be made available for download after the workshop.
We encourage you to visit the Australian Music Vault with your students either before or after a workshop. Approximately one hour is needed to view the whole exhibition.
This workshop provides fun and engaging ways to explore music and musical concepts for students using ACID Music Studio.
Perfect for students with little or no music knowledge, this workshop explores the technology and techniques used to create the music they hear every day. Using pre-set Audio Loops, students will compose a piece of music which will be made available for download after the workshop.
