Comedy Crash Course brings students together with professional comedians to develop skills in writing and performing comedy.
This workshop sees students participating in improvisation games, writing jokes, telling stories and developing sketches in a relaxed and fun environment. Comedy Crash Course supports the next wave of young comedians emphasising the importance of building confidence, taking creative risks and celebrating individuality.
Watch some young comedians in action at Melbourne International Comedy Festival on their YouTube channel. Take note of how they present themselves, the kinds of stories they tell and how they interact with the audience.
For any students interested in taking comedy performance further register for the annual Melbourne International Comedy Festival Class Clowns competition! From Class Clowns, you may also have the opportunity to work with other young comedians and mentors on the LOL Squad program.
