This engaging sensory program brings children who have developmental delay or disability together with their families to interact through music.
This program is for children who are aged 3-5 years (pre-school age) who have delayed development, or a diagnosed disability. At least one parent or caregiver is required to stay for the duration of the session. Occasionally it is appropriate for children who are younger than 3 attend; please get in touch if you would like to discuss the program further.
This program runs in small groups, with a maximum of 5 families in each session.
No – unfortunately we cannot take bookings for less than 6 sessions. This program is especially designed as a therapeutic ‘block’ where children are supported to become familiar with the program, others in the group and to develop skills over time.
It is fine to bring your child’s sibling, however we recommend bringing an additional adult to help where possible. Please inform staff if you would like to bring a sibling.
Many families who attend Sound Beginnings do not have access to funding options, which is why we have kept costs as low as possible ($180 for a block of 6 sessions). Please note that our costs are low due to generous support of donors.
