Savour the exemplary wines of Oliver's Taranga at The Barre

Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards, located in McLaren Vale, date back six generations and 180 years of family grape growing. Described by WBM Magazine as a “legend in the making” winemaker and director, Corrina Wright, is part of an Australian grape-growing dynasty. She is now treading her own path through the vines planted by her ancestors. Corrina has teamed up with The Barre’s senior Chef de partie Cecilia Salvante who has created a menu perfectly paired with Oliver’s Taranga wines.

Pairings include pan-fried pork fillet with cauliflower and cheddar puree, ravigote sauce, black garlic and silverbeet, served with 2016 Oliver’s Taranga HJ Shiraz. Corrina will share her expert knowledge and passion for Oliver’s Taranga wines during this Sunday feast perfectly pairing wine and plate.

More about Oliver's Taranga
William and Elizabeth Oliver arrived from Scotland in 1839 to settle in McLaren Vale. Six generations later, members of the family are still living on the Whitehill and Taranga farms.

The vineyards don’t just supply wine grapes to Oliver’s Taranga, but many other premium wine producers in the McLaren Vale region and beyond. Corrina Wright, Winemaker and Director and Don Oliver, Viticulturist and Director, are both proud members of the Penfolds Grange Growers club, with certain blocks of their Shiraz contributing to Australia’s iconic wine, Penfolds Grange - some of the few that can lay this claim outside of the Barossa Valley.

The current generation of Oliver's continue to hold strong to William Oliver’s ideals of passion, integrity and continuous improvement. And they throw a good dash of respect for family, history and tradition into the mix, with all their wines exclusively estate grown.
