All the world's a stage, and Arts Centre Melbourne is proud to house some of the world's biggest and smallest, roundest and not-so-roundest, deepest and widest stages. And given we're open nearly all year around, we are ready and waiting for you to come, explore and enjoy them.
From the exquisite sounds of strings rising gracefully from the heart of Hamer Hall to the crash and bang of a headliner act or bright tunes of a legendary local musical theatre diva lighting up the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, our range of performance spaces offer a variety of ‘together experiences’ for diverse audiences.
'Under the Spire' sit the State Theatre, Playhouse, Fairfax Studio, St Kilda Road Foyer Gallery, car park and box office, and the Australian Music Vault, plus a variety of function rooms and other less conventional performing spaces.
Just across the lawn sits Hamer Hall (you know, 'the round building by the river'!), Australia's premier concert venue, which hosts performances across all music styles.
And a short stroll through the park over in the Kings Domain Gardens is Melbourne's iconic outdoor venue, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, a favourite to generations of candle-bearing carollers.

If you book tickets online, you can use the “Select your own Seat” option to choose seats straight from the map – and if you click the little camera up in the top left hand corner, we will even give you a cheeky peek at what it looks like to sit from different parts of our theatres. There are also downloadable maps available on the pages of each of our main venues.
