It is mandatory for every Victorian business to have a COVIDSafe Plan for each worksite. The Arts Centre Melbourne COVIDSafe & Wellbeing Plan outlines the COVID-19 safety precautions we have in place throughout the opening up of our venues and facilities. This will ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone who visits us, including our customers, presenters, hirers and team members.
To ensure consistency of practice we request a copy of the COVIDSafe Plan of visiting companies and organisations. Should these plans be contradictory, the Arts Centre Melbourne COVIDSafe & Wellbeing Plan will prevail. Where an artist is not part of an organisation/company they will be required to comply with all requirements as outlined in their contract and Arts Centre Melbourne’s COVIDSafe & Wellbeing Plan.
Subcontractors must have and complete their own COVIDSafe Plan for the site they are working on, so we will be asking you provide one when working with us. There may be some site-specific elements of your COVIDSafe Plan that you are not able to fill out yourself (such as screening and collecting records of all site visitors) as we manage the site. In such instances, it is recommended that your COVIDSafe Plan adopts the site-specific elements of our venues’ plans to ensure they are consistent. We will also need to understand what other sites you are working on to manage cross infection risks.
If you have questions please contact your Account Manager.

In the Theatres Building, we have upgraded the air conditioning and ventilation system to a higher grade of filtration, the same system was implemented in Hamer Hall in 2012 during refurbishment. In addition, our air-conditioning units across both spaces are currently operating at 100% outside air – which means constant cycling of fresh outdoor air through all occupied indoor spaces.
